Current International Atomic Time, Time Standard (TAI)

TAI is a highly precise time scale that is calculated using data from about 400 atomic clocks housed in 69 laboratories around the world. It was established and is maintained by the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM), France and it forms the basis for UTC.
