It's a Leap Year...

...which means that February 2016 will have an extra day: February 29.

Leap Years take place almost every 4 years and they are a way to synchronize our modern-day calendar with the Solar Year.

Did you know that in North America, September 1752 had only 19 days, and in some countries, February 30 was once a real date?

In some cultures, February 29 is the only day of the year when it is appropriate for women to propose marriage.
