Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Easter, or Holy Week, in Norway. It is always on the Sunday one week before Easter Sunday.
Is Palm Sunday a Public Holiday?
Palm Sunday is not in itself a public holiday in Norway. However, as it always falls on a Sunday, most businesses are closed, and the shops which are open follow restricted Sunday opening hours.
Other names for this day include Passion Sunday, Fig Sunday, Willow Sunday, Branch Sunday, or Blossom Sunday.
While we diligently research and update our holiday dates, some of the information in the table above may be preliminary. If you find an error, please let us know.
