Is Palm Sunday a Public Holiday?

Palm Sunday is not in itself a public holiday in Norway. However, as it always falls on a Sunday, most businesses are closed, and the shops which are open follow restricted Sunday opening hours.

Other names for this day include Passion Sunday, Fig Sunday, Willow Sunday, Branch Sunday, or Blossom Sunday.

The dates for Easter changes every year as it depends on the day of the March Equinox.
