Use the navigation tabs next to the search field to access the Main City Page (Time/General tab) or other sub-pages dedicated to specific topics, such as Weather, Time Zone, and Sun & Moon in the city.
The latter includes a multitude of astronomy information related to the city. It is divided into several different pages, which can be viewed via the links that appear just below the tabs after you click on Sun & Moon:
Below the tabs, you can find detailed information about current Daylight Saving Time changes in the selected location. The display defaults to the current year. To select a different year, use the Other years links further down.
Click on the Play button on the analog clock faces to see an animation of the clock change.
The table at the bottom of the page shows Daylight Saving Time changes for several years at a time. Use the Show DST from drop-down at the top to select a different year range.
Problems? See topics like “Why can't I select a year in the distant past or future?” in the FAQ section below.
The DST table at the bottom of the page provides an overview of Daylight Saving Time clock changes in a year of your choice. However, the time span covered here varies from one location to another.
For past years, the general rule is that we only display DST dates and times if we were able to obtain reliable information for the year in question. For many cities, the cut-off point for past years is 1970. However, we often offer earlier DST information for another city in the same country. If that is the case, a link appears below the table that takes you to the DST City Page for that city.
For locations in some countries, another way to find out more information about a location's DST history is to open the DST Page for the country in which it lies. To go there, simply enter the country into the search field near the top of the page.

The DST table at the bottom of the page provides an overview of Daylight Saving Time clock changes in a year of your choice. However, the time span covered here varies from one location to another.
The table also includes future years. As Daylight Saving Time rules can always change, we naturally cannot guarantee that these future dates are correct. However, in most countries, DST dates rarely change, so it is very likely that our predictions are correct for most locations. For locations that have a history of frequent or very short-term changes, we explicitly mark them as preliminary dates.

The dates and times when Daylight Saving Time starts and ends in a country or territory can change at short notice. In some countries, reliable information is difficult to obtain or the authorities may issue conflicting information.
So, although our researchers work hard to make sure our DST information is correct, the most recent developments may not be reflected on the page yet or our sources may have reported false information. If you spot a mistake, we would be delighted to hear from you via our feedback form. Please make sure to state which page you are referring to and, if applicable, which sources you are comparing us with.
Our database of locations includes thousands of cities worldwide, and we now offer an additional 6 million places via the GeoNames database. If you still don't find your town, please let us know, and we will consider adding it.
When you type the location into the search field and it suggests several places by the same name, first have a look at the country flag and the description in parentheses to identify the city you are looking for. If it is still unclear, click on one of the locations and check the geographical position on the map (on desktop) or click on the Time/General tab and check the longitude/latitude information shown near the top of the page.
The DST City Page reflects all Daylight Saving Time changes as soon as they happen. However, following a change, you have to refresh the page to see the latest information.
Our primary sources include law texts, local news agencies and media outlets, embassies, and tourist agencies. We also use the IANA Time Zone Database as a reference. For past dates, we generally consult relevant encyclopediae, newspaper archives, and other works about the location's history.

Some locations have a history of very short-term changes to their Daylight Saving Time schedules. In that case, we generally mark all future dates as preliminary.
The DST City Page shows the dates and times of Daylight Saving time clock changes, and also the direction in which clocks are turned. In most countries and territories, the time difference between standard time and Daylight Saving Time is 1 hour—with few exceptions. In that case, we show messages like “1 hour forward” and “1 hour backward”, or similar, in several locations on the DST City Page.
Here, forward means that 1 hour is added to the local time, so clocks are turned, for example, from 01:00 (1:00 am) to 02:00 (2:00 am); backward or back means the opposite, so clocks may be turned from 03:00 (3:00 am) back to 02:00 (2:00 am).
