Palestine Ends DST One Day Early

Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends one day earlier than expected in the Palestinian Territories. Clocks will be set back 1 hour at 01:00 (1 am) on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Update: An earlier version of this article said the time change was at midnight. It is now confirmed for 01:00 (1 am) on October 29.

Clocks will be set back 1 hour from 01:00 (1 am) to 00:00 (midnight), local time on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Initially, the change was scheduled for Saturday, October 30, 2021. However, on October 18, the Council of Ministers decided to start DST one day earlier. The Palestinian government gave no reason for the day change.

Israel Ends DST Two Days Later
Israel ends DST two days after the Palestinian Territories. Clocks are set back 1 hour at 02:00 (2 am) local time on Sunday, October 31, 2021 along with Europe. In the US and Canada, DST ends on November 7, 2021.
Time in the Palestinian Territories
Palestine's standard time is Eastern European Time (EET). EET has a UTC offset of plus 2 hours (UTC+2).
During DST, Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is used in the Palestinian Territories. EEST has a UTC offset of plus 3 hours (UTC+3).
Israel follows the same local time (UTC+2/3) but under different names: Israel Standard Time (IST) and Israel Daylight Time (IDT).
