Eid al-Adha 2025 in Kenya

On Eid al-Adha, Muslims demonstrate their obedience to Allah by sacrificing an animal. The holiday is inspired by a story from the Quran that is also known to Christians and Jews.

Is Eid al-Adha a Public Holiday?

Eid al-Adha is an optional holiday. Employment and holiday laws in Kenya allow employees to choose a limited number of holidays from a list of optional holidays. Some employees may choose to take the day off on this day, however, most offices and businesses remain open.
