Is Whit Sunday a Public Holiday?

Whit Sunday is not a public holiday. It falls on Sunday, June 8, 2025 and most businesses follow regular Sunday opening hours in The Bahamas.

According to Christian texts, the Holy Spirit, often symbolized by a dove, descended on the apostles who received the gift of tongues. Pentecost celebrates this event.
